How
This seems too simple...I want to set my preferences for a new page, I put in what I want in the document set up, eg millimeters not inches. But when i shut down and restart it has reverted back to the original settings. What am i not doing? Is there a buton missing that says save? Is there another place that has user prefernces for start up and new pages? Edited April 24, 2006 by How Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
When you restart are you opening the same document that you changed the settings for, or a new one? Quote Link to comment

Christiaan
When you change the document settings you are doing just that, changing the settings of the document you have open. i.e. they're document settings as opposed to application settings. Instead of opening a new blank document (which I assume you are doing) use templates instead. For more details on how to make your own templates go to Vectorworks Help from within Vectorworks and do a search for "Creating Templates" Quote Link to comment

cbaarch
when VW opens the drawing that is uses is called default.sta (windows version) if you want the preferences of that initial drawing to be as you like it you first make changes to the drawing called untitled1 then save as template and replace default.sta in the Template folder Quote Link to comment
