win2000 taskbar (copied fr. gen discussion)

Question

I upgraded to 10.5.1 (architect) on win 2000. A vectorworks icon (shortcut) on either the desktop or the taskbar when set to "start in" a networked drive, does not open. If set to start in either the program root directory or left blank, it will open. Mapped to a network drive it worked in 10.1. Any ideas?

No. The "start in" in 10.1 was set to open a directory in a networked storage device which contains my project files (data only). Application software is installed and stored on the win2k machine. Again, this setup worked just fine in 10.1, and does not in 10.5.1. Not sure what the problem is. I removed the old 10.1 icon on the taskbar, replaced it with a new 10.5 icon to no avail. I'm stumped.

Have you double checked to make sure you have quotes both and the beginning and the end and there are no spaces between the quotes and the first and last charachter?

Is there a slash at the end of the "Start in" path?
