Exporting files from Mac to PC for Printing

I'm a newbie trying to export files from Vectorworks 8.5.1 running Mac OS 9.0.4 on a Power PC 8500/120. I'm trying to send the files to a PC based service bureau running AutoCAD 2002 on Windows XP and outputting to a HP650C. We've tried exporting the files as drawing and vector files, but the prints come out with many problems that include: lines of text on top of one another, solid lines coming out as dashes, symbols and their associated text mis-located. Any suggestions to correct the problem would be appreciated. Thank you.

The best solution I have found is to use Adobe Acrobat to create PDF files. The PDF files can then be sent to the service bureau for printing.

You would need to buy the full version of Acrobat to do this.

You can also try exporting as an EPSF file. I use this to import my drawings into illustrator.Maybe your print bureau can do something with a file in this format.

Since your on a Mac, the Shareware ($20 I think) Print2pdf driver available from www.jwwalker.com may do everything that you need.

NNA does not officially endorse it for use with VectorWorks as we don't test with it for compatibility, but many of our users find it very helpful.
