InchSw3
Hello, I am struggling to figure out how I will design a steel framed (e.g. Crittall) structure such as a conservatory or green house. Does anybody have any tips, or steps that they would take themselves. I am attaching a reference image (note the glazed 'walls' and roof). Many thanks. Quote Link to comment
FranAJA
Doors are pretty easy to do with glazed leaf and georgian bars, the glazing at the top probably I would do it as 3d model/ autohybrid. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
@InchSw3 are you designing this for manufacturing, rendering, or something else? If you need 3D modeling, I would approach it by making the various parts as 3D solids and "assembling" the building like you would do in real life. BIM tools like doors, walls, and windows are probably too much trouble for a specialized structure like this, especially if you have to detail it. If you don't need 3D, 2D drafting can get the job done far easier, especially if you are using off the shelf components & standard extrusions. 1 Quote Link to comment
