Can't see files when opening via programme

Hi, 

I recently upgraded my OS (to catalina) and for some reason I cant see my files when opening through Vectorworks 2021. It used to be fine on the old OS and the files are still there as I can open them through other programmes. Wondering if it's something in the settings I need to change? I've attached a screenshot. It's also annoying for saving, as I have to open through finder then save to desktop or somewhere as it cant see my work folder.

If you click bottom left on the "Options" button,

is it set to any other single file types other than "show all" or VW files ?

Hi,

Yes, it's set to Vectorworks files but if you select "all files" it's the same. Strange that it just seems to be Vectorworks that's struggling with it...

It even says the Folder is empty !?

Yes, it's like it thinks it's on the cloud and is waiting for it to load the contents. 

Is there a way of refreshing the programme with the finder? Like re-searching the HD or anything?

Additional images showing what it should be like, on all the other programmes. Example shown is MS Word which has been newly installed then had the same migration as Vectorworks...

I also tried a fresh install to no avail....curious!
