Moving files in "open vwx drawing" window freezes the whole program

Hi,

I have had this issue for many times but now had the time to post it here.

We have a NAS server where we run our project files and sometimes there is a need to rename files and/or move them in the "Open Vectorworks drawing"-dialog.

However, when you try to do this, the whole Vectorworks application freezes and you need to use the task manager to shut it down.

The interesting part is that the file is moved if you check in the Windows explorer.

 

This is usually normally possible in any other software.

 

Is this a known "feature" or something that has not been noticed yet?

Im sorry you ran into this. I have tested this out and it seems that this could be a potential bug. Thank you for pointing this out. I have reported this to our internal system under ticket number VB-202103. Hopefully this can get resolved as soon as possible. You can check the status of this ticket by contacting your local Vectorworks Tech Support or opening a support request through your customers portal.
