  1. Hi, We are a landscape architecture office currently migrating to Vectorworks from Autocad, Rhino3d etc. Earlier we did not see it possible to have Macs in the office due to software limitations but now with VWX we have been thinking of taking the leap. There are people who would love to work on Mac rather than Windows, and my question is here: Are we safe with VWX if the same files are in use by mixed operating systems? What about project sharing - are we safe? For project sharing, we are currently saving the project file on a local NAS-server which can be accessed via VPN also.
  2. We have had issues with exporting for example tree symbols with colors to IFC. We knew that the color comes from the objects class fill color, but often it did not work. Even though you select a new green color for the class, it usually exports out dull gray. Yesterday we found out the reason for the issue: You have to select the solid color twice. See attached video. FullSizeRender.MP4
  3. I add my voice to the list. This is something we really would need.
  4. Hi, I have had this issue for many times but now had the time to post it here. We have a NAS server where we run our project files and sometimes there is a need to rename files and/or move them in the "Open Vectorworks drawing"-dialog. However, when you try to do this, the whole Vectorworks application freezes and you need to use the task manager to shut it down. The interesting part is that the file is moved if you check in the Windows explorer. This is usually normally possible in any other software. Is this a known "feature" or something that has not been noticed yet? Best, Jussi
  5. I would definitely be interested. We are currently using Enscape but would love to have some high quality renders also.
  6. Hi, We have been using Autocad for years and used to do the contour labeling by ourself in 2D drawings. When changing the software to Vectorworks, we thought that we could have gotten over this extra work, and that the software could make contour labels nicely on top of the contours. The way we would want to have the contour labels is like in the picture below. They should be on top of the contour and never break the line, as sending the dwg to other designers is always a pain, when the contours are cut in many parts. And this is what we now got. Is there any way to change this behaviour?
  7. @JHangstoerfer Thank you for your quick reply. I am replying here for Felix, as he is my colleague. You are absolutely right, this works now if you replace the plant symbol with the Enscape asset. Thank you! I realized that I had tried a different way to do this, and that is why we thought that this does not work. I had tried to copy the Enscape 3D graphics to the plant symbol by clicking the "copy from symbol" from the Edit plant style-dialog and selecting the Enscape asset. What do you think - would this be also a possible way to do it in the future? Best, Jussi
