PDF export with design layers for post production

Hello,

I'm trying to export a PDF including all design layers for postproduction. I checked the export design layers as PDF layers in the export dialogue. My result (opening with Acrobat) is a pdf with all the design layers but their information pressed into one layer on top (the rest is empty). Importing it into e.g. illustrator results in one layer (layer1) with hundreds of sublayers and clipping masks and no hierarchy. Any ideas?

If you just print to PDF you will get a single layer.

 

If you Export PDF or Publish to PDF you should get at the export options dialog box and be able to set the export to export Design Layers as PDF Layers.

Hi Pat, thank you for your reply! This is exactly the problem I was trying to describe. I did export and check the box and got the result.
