rickg
I have created a new light plot, but there is no .xml file attached. Can you tell me what i have done wrong? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Scott C. Parker Posted January 10 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 10 VW creates many XML files in the background. What XML file are you looking for? I suspect you want to use Lightwright. If I'm right, you need to check the "Use automatic Lightwright data exchange" box in the spotlight preferences dialog. If you need a different XML file, let us know. Quote Link to comment
rickg
Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, i have already checked the 'LW data exchange' box, and also 'perform export' and 'include inventory'. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Scott C. Parker Posted January 10 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 10 Have you checked in: same location as you keep the VWX file. VW your user folder your documents folder. ? Are you running Mac or Windows? Have you done a search for the file using the OS search? The file should be the same name as the file you're working with. OH! and have you actually saved the new file you're working with? If not, the XML file wouldn't have a name to use. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted January 10 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 10 Have you named and saved the Vectorworks file? The xml file name is based on the Vectorworks file name and location and useless the Vectorworks file has been saved there is not a valid file name and path to create the xml file.
