Stefan B.
Is it possible to make "shortcuts" for object actions? e.g. scripts etc so they can get a keyboard shortcut. For example, If you select a truss, in the OIP there is a section for Actions. Can I make keyboard shortcuts for these options? Specifically: - Select System Objects - Change Trim Height of System... - Rename Truss System... - Change Configuration... I cannot find them as Menu commands, and I could not find them as marionettes, and i cannot find them as vectorscripts, but I might be looking in the wrong place. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
They are called Plugin Menu Commands. You can take almost any Vectorscript/Python Script and put it inside a PIO Menu Command and it will work. Take a look at these tutorials I wrote. Quote Link to comment
Stefan B.
@Pat Stanford thank you, I have already read your tutorials. But I cannot find these actions as a vectorscript. Am I stupid for not seeing the obvious? Quote Link to comment
Jesse Cogswell
@Stefan B. Those actions are hard coded into the Truss object itself and won't appear in the Workspace Editor. The functionality would need to be recreated in a Menu Command by VW. It is worth a Feature Request as it shouldn't be too terribly complicated since the code already exists, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Sorry, I was moving too fast and did not read your post well enough. @Jesse Cogswell has provided the correct information. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
I use Keyboard Maestro which can make macros. I use it in Vectorworks. It's a Mac app, but maybe there's something similar for Windows. Quote Link to comment
Stefan B.
Added in the wishlist section. 🙂 Quote Link to comment
