Display CC Equipment Item name on Spotlight Television object

Hello! I'm using the Television tool in Spotlight to create the TVs in my drawing because of the ease of use in changing out images. But ultimately everything needs to connect back to ConnectCAD for reporting. I'm using the equipment tool to link the CC Device to the Spotlight object as shown in the documentation.

 

Is there a way to now show the device name, make, model, etc as part of the symbol being used for the TV? Or even on the Equipment Item object floating next to it? I tried linking text to record in my TV symbol, but the device / equipment records do not seem to get attached to the spotlight object.

Hello @Andy Bentley,

 

At this time this is not possible automatically. You can manually enter this data in the equipment item record or attach a custom record to the equipment item and add the data there. Then you can show it using linked text in the equipment item layout.

Understood. I can think through a workaround. Just wanted to confirm there wasn't a way to do this already.

Maybe a Data Tag might sort it out for now?
