Peter Z
Hi, I feel like I should know, but I don't. When placing an external, and looking in the OIP, it uses a External Name and a Name. When I want to change the "External Name" theres only a dropdown available. What does it do and can I change it? I basically would like to get rid of the <EXT> label in the external, because it shows up in all circuit links. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Conrad Preen Posted November 8, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 8, 2023 Hi @Peter Z Externals are a special device that is the outside world. It's name is <EXT>. It's been like that for more than 20 years and people are fine with it. What Externals can also do now is to represent a Drop Point i.e. a physical place where cables emerge from containment. So if you really don't like <EXT> you could always define a drop point and give it whatever name you want. Best Conrad Quote Link to comment
