Get rid of hatches with too many layers from Vwx resource library

We have had advice from VSS that hatches with more than a couple of layers are one of the things slowing down our drawings. In this case, please don't provide such things as part of the resource library!

 

They're not all as bad as this, but one that I had imported from Vectorworks Libraries, 'Paver Crushed Stone Course HF', has 1000+ layers!

I don't think they should be got rid of but people should be made aware to use them carefully. The stone ones in particular like you say can really bog things down. They also seem to result in massive MB PDFs as well with little means of making them smaller.

 

 

Is VW less than optimum when it comes to 2D these days with a progressive shift to 3D performance...? Or have these hatches always behaved like this?

"too many layers" this is pretty subjective criteria. Maybe there is a better way to categorize some of the hashes,but some users may be willing to pay the price.
