Could you please amend the installer of 2024 so that there is an option to install default content or not?
In the UK we do not need any US content (AIA classes, etc) where we are trying to comply with UK or ISO standards, therefore the US content that installs with VW2024 so be optional.
The installer needs to offer separately:
1 Essential content, i.e. content that VW would not operate without, such as line styles and colour palettes, section markers and the like.
2 US content libraries
3 UK content libraries (despite these being very out of date now)
4 Offer an option to install or link to office content via the workgroup folder, i.e. content we have spent months and months developing specifically for the practice that MUST be used in lieu of the content installed by Vectorworks in order to comply with ISO19650, for example.
Manage CAD systems need a managed solution to the installation procedure. Currently the 'all or all' approach by the Vectorworks installer is hampering our efforts and sets us back years every time a new version is installed or every time there is an update, since the update reinstalls all the content we have just deleted.
On behalf of Vectorworks CAD managers everywhere... Thanks!
