Jesse Cogswell
Is there a way using Vectorscript to allow the user to select the face of a 3D solid (such as an extrude, sweep, Solid Addition, Solid Subtraction, or Generic Solid) and pull information about the face such as overall width / height and texture overrides? Bonus if you can get selective highlighting a la TrackObject. 1 Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
@Jesse Cogswell This is programming!! You can do ANYTHING!! 😉 But there is nothing in Vectorscript that will make what you want to do easy. Maybe do a temporary ConvertTo3DPolys and then GetPickObject to choose one of those polys and get the data from there. Much deeper than I would want to try and make work. 1 Quote Link to comment
JBenghiat
The short answer is that VS does not have access to the same face selection capabilities that the SDK does. Pat's suggestion would probably work, though it would require a lot of careful duplicating and management of temporary objects. Quote Link to comment
