Having to create paint classes simply to paint the door, only to find if the paint class is hidden the whole door gets hidden. It should be just the paint that gets hidden, reveling a white door. The door is not in a class; the texture is in a class.
That said, I went through all the Settings classes to paint the door green. But it does not "take." It is one of the Pella doors. Are these not paintable? I changed it to an unstyled door, but still the textures do not apply. This tool is a total disaster. As soon as I am finished with this post, I will change the door into 3D polygons and group them so I have glazing and wood rails and styles. Those will accept textures. Is this really what VW wants me to do? Really, I apologize for the rant, but I have had it with this cumbersome tool for two decades now with no resolution, just additional complications.
