CW2020
I've noticed this previously (may even have commented on it), but as I'm drafting more details recently the frequency that lines and polygons that 'glitch' when zoomed in tight is really becoming an issue with my work. Is this known/common? Any solutions? Thanks Screen Recording 2023-09-16 at 2.02.12 PM.mov Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I think that is just the newer VGM way of always reloading/updating the view content for each zoom level. Just that it gets more visible when zoomed in. It does unload occluded objects, reduce display accuracy of small objects that are far away. So less in graphic memory and so relatively fast reload and the option to show larger geometry. On the down side, even when zoomed out, you see that constant flickering with any view changes, at least when zooming. As you have zoomed in, you can even see how it looks when it loads low res and refines geometry as it is recognized as appropriate. When zoomed out, you just see the flickering. 1 Quote Link to comment
CW2020
Much appreciated, Zoomer. I'm sure there's technical reasons beyond my understanding that result in this issue. And I've figured out a couple workarounds; ie sometimes I just need to make some benign edit (one instance that tends to work is to cut and then paste in place a portion of the polyline I'm working on) for things to stop twitching.
