it's possible to link a field entry from a locus point to the size of a symbol

Question

Hi there,

I'm wondering if it's possible to link a field entry from a locus point to the size of a symbol (or simple circle object).

I have received a tree survey from an arborist, and they have provided locii at each tree location. Each locus point has attached data with the radius of each tree's canopy. I'd like to replace each locus point with a tree symbol or circle, with the symbol or circle's radius matching the field entry.

Hopefully that's clear!

Any help really appreciated.

Here are several threads with scripts that replace a locus point with another object. They would need some small modifications to have them read the data from the record attached to the loci and set the diameter of the circle appropriately, but these will get you the guts of what you need.

Careful because the first two are in Vectorscript and the third is in Python.
