b303lmr Posted May 11, 2023 Share Posted May 11, 2023 We have a Vectorworks Architect license installed on two machines (to facilitate working from home), but now want to remove the license from the WFH machine. Does uninstalling the programme from the machine free up the second instance of the license serial number to be used on a different device? If we go to remove the serial number through the 'Session' menu we can't click 'Done' as there is then no license associated with the install. Any info would be much appreciated! Pat Stanford Posted October 12, 2023 Share Posted October 12, 2023 User of serial numbers is actually controlled by "Activations" not by installs. Removing a serial number does not reset the Activation. If you have a need to activate on a different computer (new machine, HD crash, etc.) contact Customer Service and they can reset the activations. Quote Link to comment
