Problems with sheet border size when printing

Lizziemakers

Question

I am using Windows 2023 Vectorworks and have started seeing an issue when printing. I have a sheet border set up to the A3 size but when I print it offsets slightly, the page outlines even move so that after I have printed everything is the wrong size compared to the print set up.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I can't follow your description.  Can you post some images showing the problem?

I've attached 2 images. Before I print, the page outlines are in line with my sheet borders, once I print they are unaligned and print unaligned too. Everything is set to A3 and I've double checked the sizes. This doesn't happen when I print to PDF.

Thank you for your help

Make sure your page size exactly matches with the printable area of the printer driver.  If you want the pages setup up as A1, then you either need to have a printer driver that requires no margins (maybe referred to as Boarderless), or you have to set the page size in the Page setup dialog box to give you a printable area that matches the area available after the page margins are selected in the Printer Setup.

Or the more traditional way in VW is to set up a separate Sheet Layer for each sheet and then use the Publish command to generate the drawing set when necessary.
