CW2020
If I understand correctly, seperate 3D railings with different slopes can not be connected/joined? If that's the case, I'd like to remove one or both posts at a given location as a workaround. Is this possible? As a test I did center posts from different segments, but as expected it's just not a clean fix (see attached). And yes, I imagine there's a better approach, but I landed on this one and only want a slightly cleaner result. Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
Absolutely. See 'Place post at starting point' + 'Place post at end point' check boxes in Post/Bracket settings: 1 Quote Link to comment
CW2020
Thanks for the quick reply. Ya know I tried that previously though (did you mean "uncheck" or am I getting confused?) and it didn't seem to work. I tried it with a stock railing symbol just now, and it worked perfectly. Maybe it's because I created a custom railing symbol. I'm attaching both railings in case you or someone else is curious. RAILING - 2.vwx Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
Yes I meant these are on by default so you should uncheck the one/s as appropriate. I normally have start post on + end post off til I reach the end of the run... 2 Quote Link to comment
CW2020
Thanks, Tom. I have a lot to learn about life in a 3D world and working through the nuance of it all. Quote Link to comment
