E.S.P.
Hello, I have published a sheet. In the sheet preview, I can see my channel, circuit name, and circuit number. After I publish it, that information doesn't show up in the PDF. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee TomWhiteLight Posted December 12, 2022 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 12, 2022 Hmm thats weird, It could be that your pdf reader cannot display that font. In the export options try rasterizing the text. Quote Link to comment
E.S.P.
I just tried that. It didn't work. I am at a loss here. This is all I need to do today. Just print these sheets. So here is what I did. I made a generic LED fixture. I have made the fixtures symbols, and made them into a lighting device. Am I missing something there? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Can you turn off the Classes that the text are in, Recalculate the Worksheet, then turn the classes back on? Quote Link to comment
E.S.P.
Here is what is happening. It is on the sheet. After publishing it disappears. Quote Link to comment
E.S.P.
Hi Pat. What do you mean by recalculate? Hit the update button? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Sorry, I mixed this up with a different thread. How are you making the PDFs? If you are using Publish, have you tried the Export PDF option? Or if you are on a Mac, have you tried the Save as PDF option in the printer driver? Can you try and switch to a different font? Maybe you have a corrupt font that is not displaying properly. Quote Link to comment
E.S.P.
I have just tried all of the above. Still nothing. When I go to advanced properties and hit preview it all disappears. I have been checking and unchecking boxes there and still nothing comes back up. Quote Link to comment
E.S.P.
In the process of making my own fixture, I made one symbol. The fixture is a 1m LED tube. I arranged four of these to make a square. I took all four LED pieces and made a symbol out of that. After making that a symbol I made it a lighting device. After that I used spotlight numbering and labeled all of the fixtures. I have Channel, Circuit name, and circuit number activated. Out of curiosity. I currently have replaced my made up symbol with a lighting symbol. I just used an ADJ fixture. This solved the problem of getting it to the pdf with the information on it. What am I doing wrong with my made up symbols? Is there a proper way to create your own symbol and make it a lighting device so this information shows up on the pdf? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
E.S.P.
I just needed to add a 2d symbol to my 3d. That was all. Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment
