Yovav
At the screen shot below, created by RenderWorks, you can see the pink dots of the working plane. Usually I capture screen picture instead of exporting the image, which force a second render and wastes time. The problem with this technique is that the pink dots are captured as well. Is there a way, or preference setting, to eliminate the pink dots, with out moving the working plane zillion kilometers away from the 3D model? Quote Link to comment
Kevin
Use the Render Bitmap Tool. It will create the image file with only one rendering pass, unlike export which requires two passes. You can also set the resolution of the Bitmap Tool which I would think would give a better image than a screen shot. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted October 21, 2004 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 21, 2004 Hello Yovav: Page->Set Grid...->Show Grid Lines If you uncheck this item the pink dots won't be shown. I have added this to the wish list (to never show the pink dots in RW modes). Quote Link to comment
Yovav
Kevin, Dave - thanks for the fast and helpful replay. It is a good idea to add the mentioned preference option to next release. Quote Link to comment
Peter van der Elst
Just after you hit your "Final render" button, hit escape, and the render will be aborted. You can now use the export image command without rendering the scene twice. Although your render doesn't show on screen, it is rendered. If you like to make a preview first, you can always render first with lower quality settings. Hope this helps a little bit as well. Quote Link to comment
