My older files, created in previous versions of Vectorworks, are taking 2, 3, 4, 5? times longer to save or backup in 2024. I feel as though there is some update I missed: is there some new "functionality" that dramatically increases the amount of information that needs to be saved each time? I backup to an adjacent, networked computer via a Thunderbolt cable - is that not supported for some reason?

Inside the Symbol Edit --> COMPONENT EDIT --> Save Palette Position currently not Possible. When working inside a symbol, the COMPONENT EDIT window pops up. It keeps sitting in the way of my drawing, which is rather inconvenient. Therefore I would like to save its position in a different location of my VW file. But when saving the Palette Positions, even when I am inside the symbol editing mode, it won't save the Component Edit position. Talking to my tech team, they say its currently not possible. Can we PLEASE consider an customisable location in the near future ?

Hello, An employee in our office recently installed Big Sur on his Macbook Pro (2017). We are using Vectorworks Architect 2020 and every time he saves a file, Vectorworks crashes. This occurs with all Vectorworks files. The good thing is that it saves the file just before crashing so no work is lost, but obviously this shouldn't be happening. I searched the forum to no avail for similar issues. Thoughts? Thank you - Doug

Project sharing key commands.
Matt Overton posted a question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
It would be great if working on a project sharing project if the Save key command switched automatically to "save and commit". I know we can do this with workspaces which is workable for the people in the office who get to work all day on the same project. Not as practical if you might be jumping in to ongoing projects for quick dimensions, detail or co-ordination discussions. Might be a bit more controversial but switching close to close and release could be helpful.
