Hi All - Short and sweet for this one.. I have a new mouse with a couple of spare buttons. Any recommendations for the most useful Vectorworks commands or scripts to map to these buttons? Prize for the most useful answer/winner (I shall write you a poem) A

Hi I use a Logitech M570 roller ball mouse with Vectorworks which has some customisable buttons. I have customised the buttons for various shortcuts but would like to be able to use it to edit the attributes of objects. I can select an object and right click and access a menu with options like edit properties etc none allow me to edit the attributes - ie change the fill or line weight. I have to go to the attribute palette. Right click is the same as pressing control then clicking on the object. I can input a short cut to open and close the attributes palette but this does not allow me to edit the attributes of a selected object. Does anyone know how I can create a shortcut I can put into the mouse so I use a mouse button to select and edit the attributes of a object? I suspect I need a VW script to make the shortcut but am not familiar with scripting. Thanks

I'm just starting the process of moving over to windows from a lifetime on mac and can't seem to figure out how to set the mouse wheel not to zoom as far per individual click. E.G. when I'm at 100% zoom and I scroll to zoom in, the 1st jump is to 150%. When I zoom out from 100% the first jump is to 67%. Is there any way to make it so that I could jump to say, 125% or some smaller increment? It's really messing with my workflow having to c key zoom all the time... Please stop mouse zoom 'skidding'
Christiaan posted a question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
This has been an annoying problem for many years and I've finally got round to posting a wish because I'm working on a particularly big project, so it's very pronounced. When using the mouse to zoom in or out I often find that VW doesn't respond if the cursor is located over objects on the screen. Move the cursor to a clear space and zooming is far more responsive. Hence 'skidding', as it kind of feels like you're doing a burn out on the mouse wheel or touch zone. Please eliminate this. -

Hi All, Seem to have a problem with scrolling on certain palette when using Windows systems. I've noticed this on: PC running Windows 7 (vwx 2017 sp3, sp4, and 2018) Laptop running Windows 10 (vwx 2017 sp3, sp4, [not tested 2018]) Also tested with multiple brands of mice. I've uploaded a short video as I don't know how to describe the palette clearly. You can see that the scroll works fine on some palettes, but fails to work on the one shown at the end.

Configuring mouse centre scroll click to pan drawing
John Whyte posted a topic in General Discussion
Ive got a Logitech LS1 laser mouse which is a standard mouse with a scroll wheel which is clickable. On some machines ive got Vectorworks installed on ive had the mouse scroll wheel setup so i can pan around the drawings in the same way the pan tool works. On my laptop running OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 ive not been able to get this to work, it always brings up OSX's mission control view. Ive recently downloaded the settings programme for my mouse in which it gives me some options to configure various features, but im unsure what i should set the centre scroll button click to do, to enable panning in Vectorworks - Any ideas ? Please see attached screenshot of settings for reference.
