  1. LS Events is a live event production agency working on some exciting UK festivals, sporting events and government projects. We are looking for skilled and detail-oriented draughtspeople who have excellent proficiency in Vectorworks, with a strong understanding of drafting principles. A history and good working knowledge of the events industry is highly desired. The role will involve creating precise and detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on project requirements. The drawings play a crucial role in the developing layouts for event spaces and consideration is required for factors like space utilisation, traffic flow, and design aesthetics. There would be the need for interpretation and translation of rough sketches and specifications into accurate and comprehensive drawings. As our peak season approaches we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, assisting with all of our drawing needs on both current projects and any new tenders that may be of interest to us in the coming months. If you are interested, please email your CV to resourcing@ls.uk
  2. NMR Events located in Monroe Township NJ is looking for an Assistant Designer capable of using VWX Spotlight to create symbols, develop and detail trade show, event and meeting designs for our growing Event business. Looking for an ambitious young designer to join a small design department with a tremendous potential for growth and advancement. We are looking for someone with ambition and drive to work with our designers, project managers, and sales people on technical drawings, blueprints, and rendered presentations. We are a nationwide company with offices in SF, Chicago, LV, Orlando and headquartered here in NJ. Start immediately with benefits and a salary commensurate with your skill and experience. Contact: Randy Lee Hartwig at RLee@NMREvents with your resume.
  3. I've started using the create stage tool under event design in Spotlight. I can create a stage but if I want to go back to the original polygon and try a different configuration of platform sizes I can not see a way to do that. Is it possible to go backwards other than using CTRL-Z to get back to where I started (and as a side effect undo changes I want to keep)?
  4. Hi, Has anyone seen or used a model for 3D scenic tiles a'la https://www.moddim.com/? Thanks,
  5. I am so sorry that I have no idea what I'm doing with these chairs, but I thank you all for your patience and help. This time, I pretty much just need to number my seats, however, the seating tool was not at all doing what I needed it to be doing so I switched over to just using an array and editing from there. However, now it seems that you can't number them or that I can't convert the section I made into a section Vectorworks likes. So basically, from here, I'm not sure if I need to scrap the array and go back to fighting with the seating tool or if there's a few crucial steps I'm missing. Thanks again!
  6. Hey all, I really hope I haven't missed this somewhere in the forums either, but I would really like to be able to edit the widths of the chairs that I am using in my file. I can edit them in 2D, but I don't think I'm really doing that right. I'm effectively just editing values in the OIP. Is this something I need to just accept I can't do or is this something I need to make a custom symbol for? I'm really just not positive about how to go about doing that if I do have to effectively make my own chair from scratch. Thanks in advance for your help!
  7. Hello, I'm using the Television Tool to insert screens into various scenes... Specifically I'm after a 98" screen, which isn't part of the preset screens. How often do these get updated to reflect the current TV screen market? Is there anyway to insert a custom size screen? Or can someone suggest a way to modify, say, the 90" screen into a 98" screen? If you've got a 98" screen modelled, please share it if possible? many thanks, Ronan
