  1. About the Role This role in the context of event planning involves creating precise and detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on project requirements. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsperson to join our dynamic team, where you'll play a crucial role in developing layouts for event spaces, considering factors like space utilisation, traffic flow, and design aesthetics. The role requires the interpretation and translation of rough sketches and specifications into accurate and comprehensive drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of drafting principles, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Vectorworks. Applicants should have: Professional Experience: Demonstrated expertise as a Draughtsperson, with a robust portfolio showcasing a variety of drafting projects, preferably within the events, exhibition, or theatre industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, especially Vectorworks, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of drafting principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and industry standards. Attention to detail: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality drawings. Spatial Planning and Creativity: Familiarity with spatial planning, traffic flow, and event logistics. Creative mindset with an ability to balance aesthetics and functionality. Communication, Collaboration and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge of construction, manufacturing, engineering processes, event production processes and material is a plus. Flexibility and Availability: Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, to support on-site event setups.
