We are an event company that is using Vectorworks to detail and sheet audio, video, led, lighting, curtains, FOH and BOH, and others. We are doing Trade Shows and large Events across the country and we are submitting our drawings for Stamps to PE firms. We are trying to record all of the changes we make from one drawing version to the next in a sheet in the sheet layer. Unfortunately it seems as though it is difficult (trust me this makes it out of reach for most of the people using VWX in our company). So, I am looking for an easy way that we can update and notate each Version and save that to a sheet so that we can see all the changes and all the authors of those changes and populate the version # in all the sheet title blocks? Currently the revisions are reserved for each sheet only rather than the drawing itself. Can anybody out there help me figure this out. It would be a huge value to our company.

The room shells that I have are on more than one layer. I would like to be able to xref these rooms into the drawings whole without removing all the layer information in the original drawing.

I know this might not be the best way to start this but... In AuotoCAD you can xref another drawing into a drawing. It references an existing drawing without weighing down the drawing your working on. I am working in rooms - that we create a room or building shell for. For example we have an existing room shell for the MGM Grand - Grand Ballroom. We have dozens if not hundreds of these room shells that we create for rooms all over the country. I think we should be able to share these with other professionals in a library by the way. But what I'm trying to get to is how can I reference these room shells - 3d drawings - into another drawing so that I can use them and render them without weighing down the current design within that room? I know I can import layers with all the geometry and I can xref dwg's but I can't xref an existing room shell without bringing in all the layers, classes and geometry with it. Or at least I don't know how. Can anyone help me with this?

I am currently trying very hard to find Colleges and Universities primarily in New Jersey teaching Vectorworks for Set and Lighting design. I'm interested in all schools that include this in their curriculum or use it in their design classes. I'd like to start recruiting graduates coming out of school this fall and in future for design and technical openings here at my company. Can anyone out there identify or even better recommend schools both to people like me looking to recruit grads but also for design students looking to move into the entertainment industry.
