Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1 makes VW2024 unusable
Leon You replied to astephens's question in Troubleshooting
I updated to MacOS 14.4.1 and then lost the main menu of my Vectorworks update 4.1 (Build 750359). This also makes my Vectorworks unusable. My computer is a Mac Book Pro 2019 Intel chip laptop. Anyone has the same issue? -
Update the ceiling grid tool to a professional one
Leon You replied to JMR's question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
We recommended this webpage. https://archdraftingvectorworks.blogspot.com/2011/12/creating-suspended-ceiling-plan.html But we want a better BIM ceiling grid tool. -

AI command interface for Vectorworks
Leon You replied to Christiaan's question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
In the AI era, the only things left for architects are ideas approved by the project owner and the responsibility for signing AI-generated products. But what can we do now in this transition period to ensure we still have Vectorworks and our jobs in the more and more intense competition? -
AI command interface for Vectorworks
Leon You replied to Christiaan's question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
Great idea! @Christiaan Can we create something like https://www.blueprints-ai.com/ to "translate" blueprints to 3d models and vice-versa? -
In the Chinese version, by default, the popup tips' Chinese characters have a 90-degree angled direction, which is very difficult for Chinese users to read (compared with the "right" direction of the characters below). How can the users change the font to a "stand-up" direction?

Thank you, Tom W.

Hi, our customer found that the hardscape he drew did not show correctly. After studying the case, we found the solution demonstrated in the screenshot. Why does the hardscape tool act like this? Is this a purposely setting? Besides, when the hardscape is clipped into sections, it seems hollow inside. Why is that?

whishlist: shortcut keys exactly like Sketchup
Leon You replied to Leon You's question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
Thanks @rDesign. Is there any way to quickly set all the shortcut keys instead of editing them individually? -
Thank you, @michaelk. Thank you @VIRTUALENVIRONS Those methods are helpful! We also tried other ways to form them. For the "Sprial," we used the helix-spiral tool, then the "extrude along path tool," then the "deform tool." For the "Straw Hat," we tried to create a basic unit and then used the "add solid tool" and then the "deform tool." If we deform each unit separately, the hat will look more "circle"; otherwise, it will look "oval." And yes, @bcd. It would be best if the designer could share how he and his team built the model. I also enjoyed the fun to try with all of you. |-D

How do we model these? We were challenged by a client on how to model these structures using Vectorworks. Does anyone know which command should be used to create the spirals? https://oss.gooood.cn/uploads/2021/12/138-Christmas-Installation-Starstreet_AaaM-Architects.jpg

Architectural Fees - how to get more $$ upfront?
Leon You replied to Shortnort's topic in Architecture
Intereasting question. I believe VW is a tool to cope with clients who wish to pay less and get more. It is always hard to ask a client to pay more upfront, except 30 years ago, my boss told the clients if they paid 5% more upfront, we could use "computer-aided design" to double our design speed than traditional hand drawings.
