  1. Sometimes we have multiple viewport, annotations, notes and symbols in a sheet layer, and having them all visible all the time would be of great benefit to many practices I have been working with. A kind of all the classes should be visible all the times, while the viewport respond to their own visibility settings. So an option to remove the concept of classes from the sheet layer, so the elements there are always visible. A sort of WYSIWYG.
  2. After many tests I found the issue to be the grouping of the text blocks inside the tag. When I ungroup the text blocks the data shows correctly. It still works with grouped texts blocks when I open the file in a machine with VectorWorks 24.0 I used the grouping because I have multiple text blocks that shows at different "Details Levels", as these are stacked the grouping helps with selecting all the text blocks that shows at a given "detail level" Hopefully this issue will get fixed soon? I just lost 3 hours trying to identify the problem Thanks for introducing this new issue
  3. Custom data tags for spaces do not show the information after updating to 24.1 This tags contains some custom fields but also some standards ones as Space area, number and name. Double clicking the tag and choosing 'tag data' shows all the right information, anyway the live tag shows the default text rather than actual dynamic data. I tried relinking the tag to the space and also to redefine the dynamic text in the tag. The tags were originally created in VW23 and than moved to VW24 with no issue. After updating to VW24.1 the data is not showing anymore Anyone else having this problem?
  4. rDesign, The marquee tool work fine, it's jus not practical when you are working with a large model. I use the marquee tool because the direct selection is not working, anyway this require making lots of changes to the view to avoid selecting other object. quite some work...
  5. I have it in any vectorworks version on Mac. I also tried to switch occluded selection in prefs but no joy
  6. Selecting a door or a window in the 3d view is almost impossible, you always end up selecting the wall... vectorDOESNTwork
  7. Finally in VectorWorks 2024 you can achieve this as a gap at the bottom of the door in the Jamb panel of the door settings vectorSOMETIMESworks
  8. I'm having it in 2024... I also tried to move the symbols in a external library file but no joy vectorDOESNTwork
  9. I'm having exactely the same issue. It's not clear how symbols and other resource should be managed in shared files!!!
  10. Elements linked to a level, EG 'floor finish' or any other story level, should lose the associations automatically when transformed to symbols. Symbols do not support association to story levels so why elements retain such association when transformed to symbols or pasted into symbols? it make the IFC export all messy. Make the association change automatically to layer level or actually introduce symbol level...
  11. Thanks, the wall closure at insert is what I was trying to use, but forgot you need to activate the option it in the door plugin options too. It works now, thanks for your help
  12. How do you remove the bit of wall from under the door? EG When you have a RC slab with a nominal 100mmm floor above it, the wall will go down to the RC slab so I rise the door 100mm and I do not want the 100mm of wall under the door. How do I remove it? Similarly in an external wall at GF the wall goes down to the slab toe, but not under the doors...
  13. I'm looking for a similar script that would prompt the user to select the desired plugin object style from a list (similar to the list you get when replacing the style) rather than having to select the style before running the script. 😀
