Ramon PG
Confirmed. A-OK. One minor caveat. translatring to any version other than ACAD 2004/2005 may result in stuff like dimensions misplaced or missing. Quote Link to comment
Ramon PG
VW does a pretty good job at importing DWG files. But I'm trying to export a Sheet Layer exactly as I configured it, and what gets translated is the design layer without any of the (Sheet Layer) annotations or proper crop. It does not seem right. Esp when the Help info says: "The active VectorWorks sheet layer creates a new paper space layout, and viewports create DXF viewport entities with the same scale, view, and projection. Viewport objects (lines, circles, symbols, groups, etc.) are exported as DXF viewport entities; annotations become paper space entities. Rectangular crop objects not exported, but other crop objects are." Quote Link to comment
Ramon PG
My mistake. The import-DWG test I did with PowerCADD could not solve the Viewport issue. But importing with VW did. I will be asking a Auto CAD friend for confirmation. Quote Link to comment
