Craig Rutherford
This is new. When I click (or rubber-band, but only sometimes) the page center, this tool pops up and lets me start editing the working plane, it seems. https://imgur.com/a/kdLe8fb I do production design, so it is a rare occurrence indeed that I pull up the working plane tool. In general, if that pink square pops up, it's more an annoyance than anything else. If I want to set the working plane, I'll use the working plane tool. Is there a way to disable this "set the working plane via the page center" behavior? Quote Link to comment
markdd
You can turn the 3D axes off in the SmartCursor (Grid) settings. That should stop this appearing when you click on an Axis Line. Quote Link to comment
Craig Rutherford
Turning the 3D axis off will indeed prevent this new editing, ah...widget? from popping up, but I find the visual axis useful. Disabling it entirely is not what I want to do, I'd prefer to not be able to edit the working plane with that. Can that be independently toggled? My suggestion above is the only way that I know that this can be done. Perhaps put in an enhancement request on the wish list? I would definately vote for it.
