golem
Two-part question: 1. I placed a set ot of horizontal grid lines, so that their dimension lines run vertically. Can I flip the dimension text to the opposite orientation, so that I my head to the left to read the text, rather than to the right? 2. I have two overlapping bubbles; can I offset one of them so that the drawing looks thoughtful? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
1) Use the PIO field > "offset " > as neg '-' or the '+' for the distance offset to position the text on either side of the dimension line. 2) Uh ? Quote Link to comment
golem
I guess I did not make myself clear. I'll try again. Question 1 solved itself in the viewport, even though it looked wrong in the Design Layer. The default distance offset was fine. Question 2 is about getting the TAG out of the way of a nearby TAG, either vertically or horizontally. The printed manual shows a example of this, but does not explain how to make it happen. Thanks. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted April 6, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 6, 2005 You draw two grid bubble objects. This is how it's done in the manual. First a "major" grid object (1, 2, 3, etc.) then a "minor" grid object with a prefix of #. where the # is the major grid element you are following. Make sense? Quote Link to comment
golem
One more attempt: how exacltly do I nest grids into my existing grid? Quote Link to comment
