ErichR
If you create a dormer with a window, and the window is inserted backwards, how do you flip it? If you create a dormer and you want it's wall texture/color, etc. different from that of the roof, how do you do it? If you create a dormer, and want to create a special window to fill the dormer's gable, how do you do it? If you want the dormer's gable end wall to be coincident with that of the wall below, and want the roof's eave edge to be eliminated in front of the dormer, how do you do it? Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
these questions appear simple but some or the answers require a detailed explaination... I'll try to answer them here. If you dormer needs to be flipped, find the dormer symbol in the Resource Browser and edit it there, you can flip it, change the shape of it... to make the dormer wall coincident with the wall below, click on the dormer window handle, the black dot at the bottom center of the dormer when you have selected the roof, change the dormer settings so the offset from the building line is 0. To eliminate the roof in front of the dormer, select the roof, choose Edit Group from the Organise Menu, draw a rectangle over the area that you want removed, click on the done button. For more detail, for pictures and movies that cover this sort of topic, please refer to my manual ?Architect Tutorial Manual? available from : https://vesta.safe-order.net/archoncad/manuals/manuals.php Quote Link to comment
ErichR
Thanks. Didn't realize the dormer could be edited as a symbol. Quote Link to comment
