Seena Hassouna
So, I've got a rotunda in this one. Not my Idea I might add. So I get some errors saying that round walls dont join straihgt walls. Is there a workaround or do I just draw it and then fake it? thanks, seena Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted November 24, 2004 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 24, 2004 Seena, if you're getting error messages like this, I'd -really- like to see the file, so email it to me if you can. Is it important to use walls for the rotunda? I'm assuming it's mostly a 3D element. Why not use a sweep for this? Quote Link to comment
Seena Hassouna
Sure I'll send it to you. I did think of using a 3-D object. It is actually a full height wall construction. I tried to just use command J and the wall join tool. The error comes up with the wall join tool. How should I send you the file? Thanks, Seena Quote Link to comment
Seena Hassouna
I guess I got a bit suckered in by a cool tool. It is a wood building so I guess I'll make it a faceted wall ; ) I'd still like to know how the round wall tool works. Thanks, Seena Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted November 24, 2004 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 24, 2004 Seena, email the file to randerson@nemetschek.net Nothing wrong with using a round wall for this; I'm just interested in the condition that causes the join to fail.
