Seena Hassouna
HI, I'm trying to print a framing plan with a grayed version of the plan below. I'm using the gray layer setting to do this. Is there a way to control the overall shade and line weight of of a grayed layer? Thanks. Seena Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Hi Seena. The gray in "grayed" layers is not editable. You get what you get. Two suggestions: 1) Darken (or lighten) your entire print output. Of course this will affect all your other graphics, which you may not want, 2) Instead of using a grayed layer with your walls, use the layer in visible mode, but by using invisible classes remove some of the erroneous data (like fixtures, and windows & doors). If you need more details let me know...P Quote Link to comment
RickBern
Seena You may get the result you're looking for by assigning a pen color to the layers and then click "use layer colors" in document preferences The color that you'll usually want to edit is "Pen Foreground Color" If you're using patterned fills also edit the "Fill Foreground Color" This way you get pretty complete control of the density of the color of the layer behind. Good luck Rick Quote Link to comment
RickBern
Oops You assign layer colors in the layer dialog box. Highlight the layer and there's a "color" button on the left side of the box Rick Quote Link to comment
