Seena Hassouna
Is there any snappy way to do this with the roof framer? I made the shed roof using the roof face command. The roof framer tool doesn't seem to like roof faces. It seems also that the create roof tool wont make a shed roof. Am I correct in these conclusions? thanks, Seena Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted November 11, 2004 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 11, 2004 Create your (four-sided) roof with the Create Roof command, then turn 3 of the 4 edges to gable. Presto, shed roof. Quote Link to comment
Seena Hassouna
I think I may have tried that but I failed. My shed is a bit odd. Here's a jpg of it. How would I use the create roof command on this puppy? http://www.dezignzx.com/roof.jpg Right now, the gable part is a seperate roof and the shed part meets it. I'm sure you'll see the seam. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted November 11, 2004 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 11, 2004 Seena, I've looked at your perspective, but I'm still not sure which is the desired shed roof. Is it the "tee" portion? Quote Link to comment
Seena Hassouna
Well, ideally I'd like to make it all one roof but yes. the T is the shed and you can only see one half of the gable. The other half islined up with the shed Quote Link to comment
