The inner rectangle is to be offset 1' from the outer rectangle on all sides. I'm having no luck executing this with the offset tool. With either the offset by distance, or the offset by point isn't working for me. I keep getting a message that claims "not all objects can be offset" what's the matter? Isn't this supposed to be a simple task...or am I just simple? Quote Link to comment
jfmarch Posted October 28, 2004 Share Posted October 28, 2004 you need to make sure you have ONLY the single rectangle selected, then go to the offset tool. just click away and it will work. if, though, the rectangle is so small that the offset is more that the size of the object, it will probably NOT work.
