Kristen Posted February 20, 2004 Share Posted February 20, 2004 I have a 6" thick roof. I'm putting dormers in it, and the thickness of the dormer roofs is about 2". I want the dormers to appeaer with the same thickness as the roof. I can't for the life of me find where you change that setting. Please tell me it's right in front of my nose! Kristen Posted February 24, 2004 Author Share Posted February 24, 2004 Also, it seems that the "Crete roof from polygon" tool will only accept slopes in degrees. I'm pretty sure it used to accept x:12 as a slope, which is a lot more convenient. When I'm editing the roof afterward, it does take slopes expressed as ratios, and I wish I could create them this way. Quote Link to comment

When I select the roof object I see Dormer Wall and Roof Thickness boxes appear in the Roof OIP. I change the Dormer Roof Thickness to match the main Roof, and all looks well. Hope this helps. I still can't create a roof with a ratio for a slope, although I can edit it after it's created, which works OK. Quote Link to comment
Travis Posted February 24, 2004 Share Posted February 24, 2004 Robert, I'm having the same slope issue as Kristen. I can enter 6:12 but the roof is actually created at the angle in degrees that the dialog had defaulted to upon opening (generally 30? in a new document). It's not until I (we, apparently) enter the slope ratio during editing that it's actually accepted. Quote Link to comment
