stephanie
hello, thanks for helping. when i punched an openning in the wall using the solids subtraction, the WALL OBJECT became a SOLID SUBTRACTION, as a consequence, on the top/plan view, i lose all the data and cavity information on this wall. what did i do wrong? what is the proper way to punch an openning in a wall? many thanks. CipesDesign
Because a wall object is a pretty complex hybrid, it cannot survive a solid subtraction. VW's is set up to use Plug-ins for this. Try inserting a door or window. If you just want an opening, set the general pulldown to cased opening, without any jambs. Hope that helps! Peter Quote Link to comment
