Kurt Magness Posted March 1, 2006 Share Posted March 1, 2006 I have one station with VKWS 12 and 3 stations with VWKS 11.5 on a network. When I open VWKS 12 it says I do not have enough serial #s and it show a VWKS 11 number in the dialog box. Then when I click on it to add numbers it shows the VWKS 12 #. There seems to be a problem in that when VWKS 12 polls the network it thinks VWKS11.5 is VWKS12. make sence? Quote Link to comment
Peter Huggins Posted March 1, 2006 Share Posted March 1, 2006 Kurt, Sounds like you may need some additional seats. If you upgraded licenses from version 11 to version 12, the two copies (one from version 11 and its upgrade on version 12) won't run concurrently on a network. Quote Link to comment
Guest Posted March 2, 2006 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Kurt - When upgrading a VW 11 license to VW 12, you receive a serial number for VW 12 matching the VW 11 serial number. The purpose of this is that it is an upgrade and intended to be used on the same computer with the matching VW 11 serial number. When installing VW 12, the serial number and software has to be installed on the same computer that has the matching VW 11 serial number. You can determine this by looking at the last 6 digits. If you have 4 seats total, you will need to purchase a new license, not an upgrade. Quote Link to comment
