aruk
Hi all, Quite new to ConnectCAD so still finding my feet a bit Has anyone come across this message when trying to insert a link socket into a file? I had been creating a base file for myself and have probably screwed something up in relation to this.... It works fine in a blank document so it isnt a global bug as such... Any help much appreciated and apologies if I havent provided the right/enough info for you. Cheers! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Conrad Preen Posted June 10, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 10, 2020 Hi Aruk That's a Vectorworks thing. No duplicate names allowed. At least the message tells you that it's a Symbol Definition you need to go looking for. Things are improving! Conrad Quote Link to comment
aruk
Hi Conrad, Thanks for the tip. I found the duplicate object named Link in the resource browser for that file so deleted it. The same error was thrown up after I tried reinserting an external link and then the Link object was automatically recreated. In the end I just imported my symbols and everything else into a fresh file which solved it. Thanks anyway Alex Quote Link to comment
