  1. Hi all, This is probably me being simple when it comes to creating reports, but how would I go about making a report that lists patch panels and the connectors that are in them? I've tried messing around a bit with making reports with panel connectors etc but don't seem to be getting anywhere. Any help much appreciated!
  2. @Conrad Preen - There is a first for everything! Thank you very much - it would be a much appreciated feature! best Alex
  3. Hello! This may just be me being thick but when using a rack frame it doesn't give you the option to set the mounting depth of it in the rack. In this case I'm trying to set the position of an item so that it appears to be on a mid rail in a rack. Is this expected behaviour? Thanks A
  4. Hello! Happy to be proven to be doing something wrong here but I can't seem to get the network info record to work correctly on symbol labels. I insert a text field into a symbol label as usual, attach that to the IP address of the network info record but it just shows the default value for that record which is 192.168.0.1 no matter what I change. What am I doing wrong? Sample file attached if that can be of any use. Thanks in advance! NetworkInfoRecordTest.vwx
  5. Hi All, Really interesting reading all of the above ideas. I tried the change text size to .1 and it works on anything above 1U in size. 1U in height seems to create an issue visually as shown in the image below. Would love to know if there was a way around this! cheers
  6. Hi Conrad, Thanks for getting back to me so quickly before Christmas! I think if it was to be an option then if possible turning off individual items would be helpful when dealing with smaller devices as well as just providing a bit more flexibility. Simply being able to change the font colour to invisible would do it from my end if easier. I appreciate the point about overcomplicating it! Convert to group - great idea, thank you! Marionette - I shall explore if I need to go down this route for this operation but thank you for pointing that out. All the best Alex
  7. Hi All, Is it possible to turn off the text that appears on Rack Equipment either indepenendtly for Model & Name or both of them? I know I can adjust text size/style etc but I can't seem to just simply make them disappear. Setting the pen style to "None" seems to have no effect. While on the subject of equipment text positions is it possible/it would be great to be able to set a position for the text within each device other than the options given in the text align portion of the Object info. This would be particularly useful when using custom images for the rack drawings to show to clients and to be able to have the model/name set to the side of the rack just for reference more than anything. thanks for your help in advance Alex
  8. Hi Conrad, Thanks for the tip. I found the duplicate object named Link in the resource browser for that file so deleted it. The same error was thrown up after I tried reinserting an external link and then the Link object was automatically recreated. In the end I just imported my symbols and everything else into a fresh file which solved it. Thanks anyway Alex
  9. Hi all, Quite new to ConnectCAD so still finding my feet a bit Has anyone come across this message when trying to insert a link socket into a file? I had been creating a base file for myself and have probably screwed something up in relation to this.... It works fine in a blank document so it isnt a global bug as such... Any help much appreciated and apologies if I havent provided the right/enough info for you. Cheers!
