islandmon Posted December 10, 2005 Share Posted December 10, 2005 The Sweep Radius to Pipe Diameter usually = 4:1 or greater depending on the pipe diameter sizing. 4" sweeps range between 6:1 > 15:1 A standard 6" PVC Sch40 Sweep may have a standard ( or specially fabricated radius) radius =36, 48, 60, 150" .The sweep radius depends on the application. Schedule80 does not have a 36" radius @6". There are also extremely large radius underground Duct sweeps. PVC Sweeps are manufactured in accordance with UL Standard 651 and NEMA Standard TC-2. Sch 40 & Sch 80 conduit is rated for 90 C Conductors and sunlight resistant per UL 651.
