Is boundary tool convertible to polygon and back again?

The boundary tool has the interesting capabiliy that property line polyline can be annotated and these bearings and distances can be seen to change according to the movement of the vertices of the polyline with the reshape tool. Can any polygon drawn with the polygon tool be converted to an equivalent property line polyline and annotated as if it were drawn with the property line tool? If not, it would be a great feature to have.

yes it can.

draw a ploygon, then use the Objects Form polyline command, choose Property Line from the choice pull-down
