ionw
I don't know why it took me so long to realize, but finally the bug that prevented right-clicking while the caps lock was engaged on Macs. Thank you so much Quote Link to comment
Kevin
Ion; What exactly are you saying here? Quote Link to comment
Jim Smith
Ion, From your footer I see you use a dual processor Mac. Can you tell me if VW takes full of advantage of the Dual processor? Quote Link to comment
matto
Jim, Vectorworks only takes direct advantage of Dual Processor for Renderworks rendering. That said, the system should take advantage by freeing up the one processor from other tasks like email and iTunes. So you can get more out of the processor VW is using. Matt Quote Link to comment
ionw
Kevin, On the Mac for VW 9.x.x to VW 11.0.1 the contextual menus were disabled if you had the caps lock engaged on your keyboard. 11.5 finally fixed this. Jim, I concur with Matt. We have both types of machines in our office, our straight-ahead drafters have single processor machines, and the people who tend to have project management software, email, VW, etc open simultaneously, or are in our 3D visualization department have the dual processor machines. All this means that if you are a single track person who drafts only then pauses to check email or conduct research the single processor won't slow you down significantly, if you tend to have several things going simultaneously the dual will pay for itself rapidly.
