joerg
hi! i am working on my first US project for my german customer and as i am used to metric dimensions now feet are required.....i struggle a little (lot) and it would be helpful to have both metric and feet in the info pallette to compare it. i worked out dual dimenstion and how to tpe in feet dimensions in the objectinfo but than it gets converted to metric and i dont have the feet information anymore....is there a trick? Nicolas Goutte
I do not think that you can show both at once. May be you could consider to set the document unit to "Inches" or "Feet or Inches". Then at least, you are working with the unit that is relevant for the project. (As the setting is per document, it does not impede any metric project beside this one.) Edited September 17, 2018 by Nicolas Goutte Quote Link to comment
joerg
Thanks Nicolas, thats possibel but than i still have to recalculate it by heart...well would have bee too easy than;-) Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
May be, when you have to get the dimension in the other unit, just switch temporary the document unit. At least the computer would do the conversion for you. Quote Link to comment
joerg
i tried associat dual dimensions but i can't highlight the second dimension to change numeric values Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
Try to set it in the first one, with explicit units e.g. 7'5" 1 Quote Link to comment
joerg
that sort of works if i type a value followed by an appostroph (') and than enter , it changes to the right dimension... Quote Link to comment
