romcole
I have just upgraded to 10.1 and when trying to create generic plant definitions to use with the place plant tool I receive a REC2SYMDEF-NIL message. I used the example in the landmark user's guide on pg. 5-4 as a test and I still get this message. Can you tell me what the problem is? Quote Link to comment

romcole
I used one of the 2D plant symbols in the resources and also a 2D plant symbols that I had edited. Neither one worked. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted July 28, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 28, 2003 romcole, I was able to reproduce this problem, and it is caused by deleting the symbol named "PTemp2D-01" that is created automatically in your symbol library. Actually, it doesn't have to be that particular symbol, you can have any symbol, as long as it has that name, and everything will work. I'm fixing this bug for release in a future maintenance release. HTH. Quote Link to comment
