compusam Posted October 4, 2004 Share Posted October 4, 2004 With VW 11.0.1, the automatic backup file created by VectorWorks becomes corrupted, crashes VectorWorks and, in 1 case, froze my computer. My computer never freezes w/OS 10.3. This has happened to me 3 times, once on a different computer. The backup file is corrupted and crashes VectorWorks causing me to lose evrything since my previous save. I have relied on the backup file for years to recover all but the last 15 minutes of work. Now, it seems, I can no longer rely on this feature. Fortunately, I have only lost about 2 hours of work due to this problem, but the potential lose of time is enourmous. Is anyone else having this problem with VW 11.0.1? Quote Link to comment
jfmarch Posted October 6, 2004 Share Posted October 6, 2004 none here, but we do not use that feature. we do daily, weekly and yearly backups of all our files using a separate software ('ChronoSync'), and we have never experienced any type of failure or corruptions. Quote Link to comment
