Robert84
I've been away from CAD for several years - so forgive me. I have several older drawings created in minicad which I would like to re-access (2D mechanical drawings). The problem is; A) I don't recall what version they were created in, and cannot tell by properties - they just show "MCD file" type. B) The online download viewer states the files are too old to be viewed with the current viewer. Any help would be most appreciated. Quote Link to comment
Guest
The viewer 9 will only read 9 files. The viewer 10 will only read 9 and 10 files The viewer 11 will only read 9, 10, and 11 files. Any file prior to 9 will not be able to be viewed with any viewer. Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
i believe i saw this on another post recently. i think you have to open the old file in version 9, save them as... in version 9, and then open them in 10 or 11 (you did not say which VW your are using). hope this helps... MullinRJ
Robert, How big are the files? I have most of the old versions. If you would like to send me the files offlist, I would be happy to translate them to a newer version for you. You can send them to this screen name at AOL.com Raymond Quote Link to comment
